The Hospital for Advanced Medicine and Surgery (Hriams) has celebrated its 27th anniversary. On this occasion, with the slogan 'Hriam's Initiative for Greater Social Welfare', it has conducted a series of dialogues on health related to everyone.

Senior cardiologist Dr. Bhagwan Koirala speaking at the dialogue program said that every person has the right to get quality healthcare. He said that due to the lack of resources, there is also a difference in the mortality rate of rich countries and poor countries. MP Ramhari Khatiwada said that there are many problems in health and education in Nepal and the government should pay more attention to this area.

'The government campaigned that 753 hospitals will be built at the local level all at once . But apart from laying the foundations of hospitals, is there a stone in the place where the foundation is laid? Again, the government has not paid attention to that,' he said. He said that many hospitals in Terai were found to be against the standards and accused the government of failing in their regulation.  MPs Devendra Paudel, Purna Bahadur Gharti, Health Secretary Dr. Vikas Devkota, Dr.Padam Bahadur Khadka, Prof.Sarla KC, Dr.Gurpreet Singh and others gave suggestions on health services and quality improvement in Nepal.  Dr. Jyotindra Sharma, director of the hospital in the

program, said that the hospital has run a series of dialogues to explain the government's responsibility towards health. Ramsharan Bhandari, the president of the hospital, said that they are constantly discussing that the state will get some help while making a health policy.
