Sirijunga Rural Municipality of Taplejung is going to organize the 'Kanchenjunga Adventure Marathon' competition on the footpath to Kanchenjunga, the third highest mountain in the world and the second highest mountain in Nepal, next May.
Chitra Mabo, the vice president of the rural municipality, said that the competition is going to be held on May 15 at an altitude of about 4500 meters. The distance between New Zhodeni and Machhewa has been fixed for the marathon competition.
