Sagar Dhakal has won the chairmanship of Stockbrokers Association of Nepal (ESBAN). Dhakal was elected as the president after defeating his rival Rajkumar Timilsina in the association elections held on Tuesday.

The 30th general meeting of the association was held last Thursday. Although an attempt was made to elect the chairman of the association unanimously on Thursday, the election was held on Friday because no agreement could be reached between Timilsina and Dhakal. Dhakal got 45 votes out of the total 88 votes cast in the

election. Dhakal's rival Rajkumar Timilsina got 43 votes.

Similarly, Nitesh Agarwal has been elected as the vice president of the association, Bhaktiram Ghimire as the general secretary, Madan Poudel as the treasurer and Vinay Poudel as the secretary. Vishal Kumar Agarwal, Jelina Kandel, Jayant Srivastava and Priyansu Agarwal have been elected as members of the working committee.
