Confederation of Nepal Industry has honored the best 14 taxpayers in various categories for the financial year 2080/81. The confederation has awarded the Taragaon Regency Hotel for paying the highest tax in the hotel and tourism sector.
Executive Director of the hotel, Suresh Lal Shrestha has accepted the certificate. The hotel has already been awarded by the government of Nepal for being the best taxpayer in the tourism sector 5 times.
Among the kartadas who will be honored by the federation are Shruti Traders for single firm, Dabur Nepal for export, Kodavatar Tech Pvt Ltd for information technology export, Patanjali Ayurveda for agriculture and animal products industry.
Similarly, Nabil Bank was honored for banks and financial institutions, Lumbini Medical College for health services and educational institutions and Bhatbhateni Super Market for commodities.
Similarly, Votekosi Power Company, which pays high taxes for the energy sector, City Express Money Transfer for remittance and money transfer, and Raj Bahadur Shah for personal income tax were honored.
Likewise, the federation honored Hongsi Cement for the value added tax (VAT) and regular enterprises, Solti Enterprises, which paid the most tax among those with a turnover of up to 500 million, and Varun Weverage for special industries.
President Rajesh Agarwal on behalf of the Confederation gave certificates of appreciation to the representatives of the taxpayer industry and individuals. In the interaction after the honor program, industrialists and businessmen said that the country is benefiting a lot from the tourism sector.
They also emphasized that the government should take more initiatives for the development of the tourism sector Shashikant Agarwal, the owner of Marriott Hotel, said in the
program that the state should cut expenses in unnecessary and unproductive areas. He argues that it is unnecessary to have more troops in Nepal than in Pakistan, which is in a national security crisis more than us.
Manoj Gyawali, Deputy CEO of Nabil Bank, pointed out that there is a danger of falling into the trap of Nepal loans.
