A joint team of the Armed Police Force and the Forest Office has recovered Sal wood illegally cut from the forest in the Tedha area of Birgunj Metropolitan City-32, Parsa.
A joint team deployed from the Armed Police Force Security Base Belwa and the Sub-Division Forest Office Sabaiya found the wood that was kept in an abandoned state while conducting a monitoring on Saturday
based on a special tip-off.
The team said that they recovered two pieces of Sal wood, each weighing approximately 10 cubic feet, from near the house of local Jagdish Majhi. Similarly, an additional approximately 30 cubic feet of Sal wood was also found from the Parasawa area, according to the Armed Police Force.
The recovered wood has been handed over to the Sub-Division Forest Office Sabaiya for investigation and action on suspicion that it was illegally cut from the forest area, said DSP Mohan Raj Niraula, Information Officer of the Armed Police Force No. 13 Battalion Headquarters, Parsa.
