Police arrested two people with banned drugs, brown heroin and cash from Chandrapur Municipality in Rautahat on Thursday night.
Nirash Kumar Sapkota, 26, of Chandrapur Municipality-6, Dawaritol, was arrested with the drug, the District Police Office, Gaur, has informed. The police have made both of them public on Friday.
Police said that drugs and cash were recovered from Sapkota, who was found in suspicious condition on Friday night, during a search. Police said that 240 milligrams of brown heroin was found hidden in a black plastic bag inside Sapkota's purse. Police also recovered Rs 32,290 in cash from Sapkota.
During initial interrogation, Sapkota, who was arrested, had given a statement that he had purchased the drugs from Bikash Neupane, 30, of Chandrapur-6, Shantinagar Tole. Police then arrested Neupane as well. Police said that Rs 22,300 in cash was recovered from Neupane. Police have said that a drug-related case has been filed against both of those arrested.
