Police have seized a large quantity of marijuana hidden in the Mirzapur area of Chhipaharamai Rural Municipality in Parsa. According to the District Police Office, Parsa, a joint police team deployed from the Area Police Office, Pokhariya, and Police Post, Mirzapur, on Wednesday night, seized 370 kilograms of marijuana from a bush in a canal ditch in Chhipaharamai Rural Municipality-1, Mirzapur.
Police said they found the marijuana hidden in 25 plastic bags. Police said the marijuana was seized during a search operation conducted at around 9:15 pm.
The seized marijuana has been taken under control after completing the necessary legal procedures, and an investigation has been intensified to identify and arrest the person or group involved in the incident, said Deputy Superintendent of Police Hari Bahadur Basnet, spokesperson and information officer of the District Police Office, Parsa. He said that an investigation is currently underway into who brought the marijuana and where it was hidden at that location.
