The Parsa District Court had issued an arrest warrant against Singh last Tuesday. As per the court order, the police took him into custody from the Jungle Resort in Thori, Parsa at 6:15 am on Tuesday, said Deputy Superintendent of Police Raju Karki, spokesperson of the District Police Office, Parsa.
Singh is accused of helping someone else's daughter obtain citizenship and other government documents based on fake documents by showing her as his own. The police have stated that an investigation is underway against him under the document-related offense on the same charge.
