After the Janmat Party withdrew its support, the Chief Minister of the Madhesh Province government led by the Congress, Krishna Prasad Yadav, will take a vote of confidence on Friday.
The agenda for taking a vote of confidence has been set for the meeting of the Provincial Assembly to be held on Friday afternoon at 1 pm. There is a legal provision to take a vote of confidence within 30 days of the withdrawal of support by the ruling party.
Before taking the vote of confidence, Chief Minister Yadav has sent the ruling party Janmat and JSP Nepal out of the alliance and brought the UML into the government. The government of the UML and the NCP will be led by the Congress in Madhesh Province. These 3 parties have a comfortable majority to form the government.
