The road has been blocked at Aurahi Bridge in Mahendranagar after the Kshireshwornath Municipality of Dhanusha issued an order to evacuate squatters. A large number of squatters blocked the road, disrupting traffic on the Janakpur-Dhalkebar road section for 1 hour on Friday morning. According to the District Police Office, Dhanusha, those who had blocked the highway by burning tires have been dispersed and the road has been reopened. The Kshireshwornath Municipality had issued a public notice on April 21, asking that encroached, unorganized and risky land, houses, and structures including huts from Wards 1 to 10 be vacated within 7 days.

Squatters from all 10 wards of Kshireshwornath Municipality had blocked the road at Aurahi Bridge until 11 am on Friday.
