The High Court, Janakpur, is organizing a judicial festival for the first time on Saturday on the occasion of Law Day. The day-long festival includes activities related to the court, justice and law. At a press conference organized by the High Court on Friday, Acting Chief Justice Tek Narayan Kunwar said that about 1,000 people will participate in the judicial festival to be held at the Mahendra Narayan Nidhi Mithila Sanskriti Bhavan in Janakpur. Kunwar informed that judges, legal practitioners, local level chiefs and deputy chiefs, members of the judicial committee and the general public from 8 districts of Madhesh Province will participate. ‘In the Meet the Judge program at the judicial festival, the general public and students will meet and interact directly with the judges,’ said Chief Justice Kunwar. ‘Under the law students and judges program, practical knowledge and experience will be exchanged for students.’ According to him, the coordination and reform issues between legal practitioners and the court will be discussed in the bar and bench programs at the festival.

Similarly, Kunwar informed that there will be an interaction about the working relationship between the municipal judicial committee and the court in the local judicial committee and court program. The judicial festival will feature educational stalls from various campuses, service and information stalls from various government offices, and an exhibition providing information about legal books and judicial processes.
