Since there is no road network to the bridge, some locals cut through the wire mesh and travel from the school gate to the market via the playground. Mohan Mishra, the school principal, also said that there is no public road to the south of the playground.

It has been found that an iron bridge has been built on the Bhaluwahi River in Rajbiraj Municipality-5, Saraswati Tole, Saptari.
The construction of the bridge had started under the previous people's representative's conditional grant from the federal government. Even after the current people's representative was elected, the bridge was built there by spending more than Rs 3.5 million using the conditional grant budget twice.
However, even though the payment was made by the municipality, the local people's representative said that they were not informed about why and for what purpose the iron bridge was built. They are also considering it strange to see the bridge being built there. Ward Chairman Bandhulal Das said that there was no justification for the construction of the iron bridge there. 'We were not consulted or coordinated with in any way while building the bridge,' he said, 'even though the locals of our ward are living there, the border falls in ward number 11.' They might have asked there.''
Ward No. 11 Chairman Udit Narayan Yadav also said that he was not aware of who built the steel bridge and for what purpose. 'Who benefits from building a bridge where there is no road? This is just a budget expense,' he added, 'I have seen the bridge, but I do not know who built it and when.'' Outgoing Ward No. 5 Chairman Sameer Kumar Jha said that he remembers the bridge construction process starting during his tenure. ''However, we did not discuss the issue of building a bridge at that location or forming a consumer committee at that time,'' he said. ''The bridge may have been built after other processes were completed by the end of our tenure.''
There is no road from the bridge to the west. Although there is a pedestrian path to the east, every year during the hasty construction in mid-Asard, there is an electricity pole at the mouth of the bridge. After climbing the bridge and exiting towards the west, there is a playground surrounded by a wire mesh of the Public Bindeshwari Secondary School at a distance of 100 meters.
Since there is no road network up to the bridge, some locals cut the wire mesh and travel through the playground from the school gate to the market. Mohan Mishra, the school principal, also said that there is no public road to the south of the playground. ‘Even though we are maintaining the wire mesh all day, they are damaging it by cutting the wire mesh at night,’ he said. ‘If there is no public road or road there, we have not given anyone permission to build a road.’
There is no lack of road network connecting the toll across the bridge to Rajbiraj Bazaar. There is a concrete bridge 200 meters south of the iron bridge to reach that toll via the road in front of the Education Development and Coordination Unit. That road is also their main road. Locals use the concrete bridge to travel to the market with their vehicles.
Rajkumar Yadav, the owner of Sundar Construction Pvt. Ltd., the supplier of construction materials for the bridge, said that he only supplied iron materials and that the consumer committee should be informed about other matters. ‘As far as I remember, the bridge was built after local leaders said that they would open the road there.’ When asked who was on the consumer committee, he said, ‘As far as I know, all the people belonging to the consumer committee are out.’ I did not know the names of those on the committee.’
When I contacted the acting mayor Israt Parbin repeatedly to find out more about the matter, he did not pick up the phone. Suresh Kumar Yadav, the information officer of the municipality, said that he was not aware of the construction of the bridge there. ‘I also need to understand more about this matter,’ he said.
