Dr. Brijendra Kumar Sah, who works at the Provincial Hospital in Lahan, has been transferred for more than three months. The Ministry of Health and Population of Madhesh Province has not allowed him to leave even after three months of his transfer.

Sah, an eighth-level medical officer, was transferred by the ministry to the Provincial Hospital in Malangwa, Sarlahi, on 2082 Magh 2. A resident of Lahan, he has opened his own ultrasound clinic called Jeevan Raksha in Lahan.

The ministry transferred him from there after locals complained that he was not given any time at the government hospital and was spending most of his time at his own clinic. Legally, he must report to the assigned place within 21 days of transfer, and there is a provision for action up to and including dismissal for those who do not report for three months.

However, he has been staying in Lahan until now. His family says that he has not gone to the place where he was transferred because his house is in Lahan and his needs are also in Lahan.

While he is being persistent, the ministry is waiting for him to appear himself, instead of taking the necessary legal action. Health and Population Minister Jangilal Rai said that he will appear now and if not, action will be taken.
