The Office of the Treasurer and Controller of Accounts (Kalenika), Saptari, has again requested the municipality to vacate the encroached land located in Rajbiraj Municipality-7, Saptari.
Earlier, the office had written to the municipality on December 30, urging it to remove the houses and huts located on the encroached 2 kattha 14 dhur land. However, even after more than 3 months, the municipality has not even started the process to remove the encroachment.
Manoj Kumar Sunuwar, Chief Treasurer of Kolenika, wrote again on Wednesday, urging the government to take action as soon as possible. ‘How much progress has been made so far? Since no information has been received, this letter has been written again and it is requested to inform you about the progress made so far,’ the letter states.
The Commission for the Investigation of Abuse of Authority (CIAA) had already decided on the basis that Tangal had already decided, and on 22 Mangsir 2082, a meeting convened by Chief District Officer Tubaraj Pokharel had also decided to request the municipality to vacate the encroachment on the land. However, the municipality has not paid attention.
