Police arrested a person from the Transport Management Office in Gaur, the district headquarters, on Wednesday, accusing him of causing unnecessary trouble to service recipients.
Laxmi Kumar Kesari, 40, of Dostia Tole, Gaur Municipality-5, was arrested for harassing service recipients going to the transport office, running to various fields carrying documents, and engaging in conversations with service recipients in the office premises, according to District Police DSP Bishnu Pradeep Basyal.
‘A team deployed by the District Police inside the compound of the Transport Management Office has taken Kesari under control and is conducting further investigation,’ DSP Basyal said, ‘We have arrested some people from the Land Revenue Office on charges of causing trouble to service recipients before.’
Earlier, the area police had arrested four people from the Land Revenue Office in Chandrapur in a similar manner.
