After the Road Division Office, Hetauda, started the campaign to widen the main road section of Birgunj from Sunday, the Birgunj Metropolitan City is also going to widen the road from Murli Chowk in Birgunj-12 and 13 Murli to the Nepal Oil Corporation Regional Office, which has not been widened for a long time.
The Metropolitan City issued a public notice on Sunday and informed the people to vacate the encroached houses and structures built on the road section within 24 hours. The Metropolitan City has requested the people to vacate the encroached area by 3 pm on Monday.
Sunil Kumar Karna, Head of the Administration and Management Division of Birgunj Metropolitan City, said that there is a plan to widen the road from Sabaha Ansari's house to Murli Chowk by 5/5 meters from the center to a total width of 10 meters.
The Metropolitan City has given an ultimatum to vacate the structures built on the encroached road. Some houses have been constructed in the area towards the Nepal Oil Corporation office, while expansion work is obstructed in the remaining areas.
