The District Administration Office, Siraha has issued instructions to make it mandatory to install CCTV cameras in public transport running long and short distances from the district headquarters, Siraha, Mirchaiya, Lahan and other places.

The District Administration Office, Siraha has directed to install CCTV in public vehicles within the next 20 days. The Siraha administration has given such instructions as per the decision of the District Transport Management Committee.
The notice states that CCTV should be installed compulsorily in public transport running long and short distances from the district headquarters, Siraha, Mirchaiya, Lahan and other places. This will be monitored by the Transport Management Office, Lahan and the District Traffic Police Office, Lahan.
After the deadline given for installing CCTV, it will be monitored regularly and action will be taken against such vehicles if they are found to have not installed CCTV in violation of the instructions, said Assistant Chief District Officer of Siraha, Chetraj Baral.
