An arrest warrant has been issued against Siraha Municipality Mayor Navin Kumar Yadav. An arrest warrant has been issued against him in connection with the incident of assaulting an office assistant working in the municipality.
Mayor Yadav had abused and kicked and punched 50-year-old office assistant Ram Sharan Yadav while he was attending his office at 9 am on Monday. His bones have been broken and various parts of his body have also been injured due to the assault.
He is currently undergoing treatment in Biratnagar. In the same incident, a case has been registered against Mayor Yadav for indecent behavior and an arrest warrant has been obtained from the District Administration Office, Siraha, informed Basudev Pathak, Chief Superintendent of Police at the District Police Office, Siraha. According to him, the police are searching for Mayor Yadav after the arrest warrant was issued.
Rohit Mestar, a municipal employee involved in the same incident, has been arrested.
