The local administration has issued instructions to vacate the encroached land registered in the name of Kalaiya Prison. The administration issued instructions on Monday to vacate the encroached land next to the District Attorney's Office behind the court in Kalaiya Sub-metropolitan City-4.

Some locals and employees have been encroaching on 1 bigha 6.5 dhur land here and have been living there for decades. 7/8 people, including employees of the court and the survey office, have been occupying the government land.

Chief District Officer Dharmendra Kumar Mishra and the heads of the district's security agencies have given instructions to vacate the land after monitoring. When the land was surveyed in 2021 BS, the land was allocated for the construction of a prison. After the prison was not built, they have been encroaching on the land by building gardens and houses and huts.

Assistant Chief District Officer Chhabiraman Bhattarai, who is part of the monitoring team, said,   ‘The process of vacating the land has begun
