The expanded training on disaster volunteer mobilization conducted by the Armed Police Force Nepal No. 13 Battalion Headquarters, Parsa, was concluded in Birgunj on Tuesday.

Chief District Officer of Parsa Bhola Dahal was the chief guest at the closing ceremony of the training, which began on February 25.

Chief District Officer Dahal distributed certificates to 29 volunteers who completed the training at the ceremony. It is believed that the training will enhance the capacity of local human resources in disaster management and rescue work.

The program was attended by Ganapati Superintendent of Armed Police Mohan Bahadur Chhetri, Deputy Director of the National Investigation District Office, Parsa Santosh Dhungel, Ganapati Chief Senani Lokendra Karki of Shree Jang Battalion, Raju Karki, Deputy Superintendent of Police of the District Police Office, Parsa, and Ward Chairman of Birgunj Metropolitan City-14 Mahbub Elahi Ansari, among others.

Superintendent of Armed Police Mohan Bahadur Chhetri said that such training is expected to help in quick and effective rescue work during natural disasters.
