Police have taken control of a jeep and driver along with boiler chickens illegally imported from India on Monday. The police have taken control of the jeep along with the chickens and the driver from Matsari in Durga Bhagwati Rural Municipality.
After Nepali entrepreneurs fell into trouble due to the illegal trade of chickens brought from India, a team of the Gangapipara Area Police has taken control of the jeep and the driver along with 250 chickens from the Gaur-Gangapipara section in Durga Bhagwati-3 based on their own tips.
The Bolero jeep (Na 5 Cha 3565) coming north from the border area and the driver, 26-year-old Anwarul Haque of Garuda Municipality-9, were taken into custody and an investigation has been launched, said DSP Bishnu Pradeep Basyal of the District Police.
