The Area Police Office Chandranigahapur on Tuesday arrested 4 people with fake gold from the local Jagat Resort Hotel.
During a check at the Jagat Resort Hotel in Chandrapur Municipality-4, police found seven pieces of fake gold with the words "Pump", "Credit", "Sais", and "Fine Gold". Ashok Tamang, a resident of Nuwakot district, Arjun Chaudhary of Chandrapur Municipality, Feknaraya Yadav of Bodhimai Municipality, and Sanjog Basnet of Siliguri, India, were arrested, said District Police DSP Bishnu Pradeep Basyal.
The police have also recovered four mobile phones from them.
"Further investigation is underway against the arrested," he said. "We have initiated an investigation on the suspicion of a gang selling fake gold. We are finding out their background."
