An elderly woman from Manharwa house in Gujra-1, Rautahat died of electrocution on Sunday. 

84-year-old Kanchhi Devi Chaudhary died of electrocution, according to the District Police Office Gaur. The elderly woman, who was living at the house of her son-in-law Lal Bihari Chaudhary in Chandrapur-8, Basantapur, was electrocuted while filling water from a tap connected to an electric motor, according to the police. She was immediately taken to Chapur Hospital Pvt. Ltd. for treatment. 

The elderly woman died during treatment, according to the police. 

District Police DSP Bishnu Pradeep Basyal said that an investigation is underway into the incident. Police said that her son Jokhan Chaudhary took the body away.
