The Armed Police Force Nepal has arrested a person with over 2 million rupees in cash of unknown origin from the customs area in Birgunj.

On Friday, at around 11:30 am, a team deployed from the Armed Police Force, Nepal Border Security Force Headquarters, Birgunj, at the customs main gate in Birgunj Metropolitan City-16, seized the amount while checking a motorcycle with Indian number BR 05 BK 8603 coming from India to Nepal.

During the check, the cash was recovered from the motorcycle by the motorcycle driver, Binay Shankar Sah Turha, aged around 50, a resident of Alau, Birgunj-17, who was hiding it in a plastic bag under the seat. 1,302 pieces of 1,302 pieces of 1,000 Nepali rupees, 1,400 pieces of 500 rupees, 700 pieces of 500 rupees, 1 piece of 500 rupees and 6 pieces of 100 Indian rupees, totaling 200,200,000 and 6 pieces of 1000 rupees, totaling 1,000,200 and 6 pieces of 1000 rupees, totaling 1,000,200 and 6 pieces of 1000 rupees, totaling 1,000,000 and 6 pieces of 200,000 Nepali rupees of unknown origin, respectively.

Similarly, the police have also recovered a mobile phone and an identity card of the Birgunj Customs Agent Association Parsa from Turha. The arrested person, cash and motorcycle have been handed over to the Birgunj Customs Office for necessary action, informed Deputy Superintendent of Armed Police Mohan Raj Niraula, Information Officer of Armed Police Force Nepal No. 13 Battalion Headquarters Parsa.
