Two people were arrested with more than one quintal of marijuana from Badhara, Tirhut Rural Municipality-2, Saptari on Saturday night.
Those arrested are Jamun Mahato, 43, alias Om Prakash, of Sitapur, Kanchanrup Municipality-7, and Kabita Kumari Majhi, 28, of the same place.
Based on confidential information, a team deployed from the Area Police Office, Kanchanpur, recovered 105 kg of marijuana from an auto with registration number Pr.2-01-001 Ha 0022 heading towards Diman. The driver of the auto, Mahato, and Majhi, who was sitting on his right side, were taken into custody.
