Seeing the election wave, Santosh Kumar Rajak, 45, of Rajbiraj Municipality-12, Singyaun, Saptari, had filed his candidacy for the House of Representatives. Since he belongs to the Dalit community, he had to pay only Rs 5,000 as an independent candidate and returned home.

Here, Rajkumar Mandal of the Nepal Federal Socialist Party got 23 votes, Sunil Raj Das of the Aam Janata Party got 26 votes, Balram Prasad Yadav of the Janata Loktantrik Party Nepal got 29 votes, Deepak Mumar Mandal of the Sarvabhoom Nagarik Party got 58 votes, and Indra Sagar Gupta of the Nepali Party for Nepal got 63 votes.
Independent candidate Santosh got 66 votes, while other independent candidates Abhinash Kumar Singh got 2, Sanjay Kumar Chaudhary got 4, Sadhan Das got 4, Sushila Kumari Sah and Prem Kumar Yadav got 9 each, Ambikadevi Safi got 11, and Kisundev Ram got 12 votes.
Bindu Kumari Chaudhary and Ram Vilas Thakur got 13 each, Parashmani Yadav got 20, Jitendra Kumar Yadav got 22, Binodananda Jha got 25, and Bisheshwar Yadav got 33 votes. Out of a total of 1 lakh 5 thousand 922 voters, 68 thousand 540 people, including 35 thousand 543 women and 68 thousand 540 men, voted in this constituency.
