The district administration has urged people not to make unnecessary noise, saying there is no shortage of gas, petrol and diesel in Parsa. According to the District Administration Office, Parsa, there is sufficient stock of fuel and gas in the district as per the details provided by the Nepal Oil Corporation and the Gas Sellers Association.

The administration has stated that there will be no immediate shortage as gas, diesel and petrol are being imported regularly. A meeting of stakeholders held on Tuesday under the chairmanship of Parsa Acting Chief District Officer Binod Kumar Pokharel has decided to tighten surveillance to prevent any activities that create artificial shortages of fuel and gas. The meeting has urged everyone not to stockpile gas, diesel and petrol unnecessarily and not to create artificial shortages in the market. It has also been directed not to sell and distribute diesel and petrol in gallons, drums, etc. openly.

Similarly, it has been decided to provide details of the consumers sold to and distributed by gas dealers, including their names, addresses and contact numbers, to the gas industry on a daily basis. It has been decided that gas industries will also have to mandatorily inform their dealers of the details of the quantity of gas cylinders sold to them on a daily basis via email to the District Administration Office, Commercial Supplies and Consumer Protection Office, Birgunj, and Nepal Oil Corporation Branch Office, Parsa.

Representatives of Nepal Oil Corporation, gas industries, gas dealers, and industry-trade sectors participated in the meeting.
