According to the ongoing vote counting for the House of Representatives elections held on Thursday, RSP candidate Amresh Kumar Singh is leading in Sarlahi-4 with 1,239 votes. Gagan Kumar Thapa is in second place with 768 votes. Thapa is also the President of the Nepali Congress. Janmat Party's Rakesh Mishra is in third place with 250 votes and UML's Amanish Kumar Yadav is in fourth place with 199 votes. In the 2079 election, Singh, an independent candidate from this constituency, won by getting 20,017 votes. At that time, his nearest competitor, Congress' Nagendra Kumar Rai, had got 18,253 votes.
