Nepali Communist Party (NCP) leader Narayan Kaji Shrestha has trailed in the initial vote count.
Shrestha, who is contesting from Sarlahi-3, is far behind Rashtriya Swatantra Party's Narendra Sah Kalwar. According to the results released by the Election Commission, Kalwar has secured 5,424 votes. Shrestha, who is second in the race, has so far secured only 720 votes. Which is 4,720 votes less than Kalwar.
Nepali Congress candidate Binod Kumar Khanal is in third place in this constituency. He has so far secured only 540 votes.
