Police have fired 17 tear gas shells to control a dispute over a child hitting a chicken at Gaushala Bazaar.
On Monday evening, a dispute broke out at a market in Gaushala Municipality-5, Mahottari over a 5/6-year-old boy hitting a chicken. The District Police Office, Mahottari, has said that the police had to fire tear gas to control the clash.
The house of poultry owner Sabir Hussain was also set on fire and vandalized. Superintendent of Police Heramba Sharma said that a team from the Area Police Office, Gaushala fired tear gas to control the crowd. He said that the police are investigating after identifying some people.
The situation at Gaushala Bazaar has returned to normal since Tuesday morning.
