There are 107 candidates in the district for the upcoming House of Representatives elections, but half of them have not shown the initiative to open bank accounts.

Anamika Rauniyar, head of the District Election Office Parsa, gave this information at an interaction program on 'Elections and Mass Communication' organized by the District Election Office Parsa in Birgunj on Sunday. She said that out of the 107 candidates, only 45 have received recommendations from the office to open bank accounts.

Rauniyar said that the number of temporary voters in Parsa is 1,090. In the district, 1,090 temporary voters, including government employees and prison inmates, security agencies, will be able to vote for the proportional representation of the House of Representatives. She said that arrangements have been made for employees deployed at polling stations for the election to vote at the place where they are deployed. In the case of other voters, arrangements have been made to vote in the premises of Birgunj Prison and the District Post Office Parsa.

Parsa Chief District Officer Bhola Dahal informed that the necessary environment has been prepared for the election in a fearless manner in Parsa.  There are 107 candidates in all four constituencies of Parsa. Out of which 46 candidates are independent. Among the independent candidates, seven are women and 39 are men.

There are 61 candidates from political parties. Out of them, five are women candidates and 56 are men candidates. Out of 167 polling stations designated in Parsa for the election of members of the House of Representatives, 62 polling stations have been kept on the list of highly sensitive. 85 are sensitive and 20 are on the list of less sensitive.

There are 34 polling stations in Constituency No. 1, 38 in Constituency No. 2, 47 in Constituency No. 3 and 48 in Constituency No. 4. There are 441 polling stations in the district. There are two temporary polling stations. The total number of voters in the district is 376,513. Out of them, 164,421 are women, 212,077 are men and 15 are other voters.
