The curfew imposed by the District Administration Office Rautahat due to the clash over the pretext of DJ Baja has continued on Sunday.

Curfew orders have been issued in various areas of the district headquarters Gaur today as well. Police have taken 23 people into custody on charges of inciting the curfew and clash.

Chief District Officer Dinesh Sagar Bhusal said that the curfew order has been continued as per the decision of the District Security Committee. ‘The situation is becoming normal,’ he said, ‘We have continued the curfew today as well. We will lift it as soon as the situation improves.’

The local administration had relaxed the curfew slightly from 6:30 am to 8:30 am for essential work. Chief District Officer Bhusal informed that the curfew will continue until another order is issued after 8:30 pm.

The administration had issued a curfew order from 1 pm on Saturday after clashes continued in Sabgada, Gaur Municipality-6, since Friday. The Gaur and Sabgada areas remained tense throughout the day on Saturday.
