The woman who was injured when the vehicle carrying Chhinnamasta Rural Municipality Chairman Bidyananda Chaudhary hit her has been in the hospital for four days after recovering from treatment. She has not been discharged due to financial constraints.

Shivakumari Mandal, 35, of Rajbiraj-15, Masharania, was hit by a municipal vehicle on Monday evening. The accident occurred at Tetrigachhi, Rajbiraj-2, along the Rajbiraj-Hanumannagar road section. However, she is currently in the hospital due to inability to pay the treatment expenses.

‘Since she was in the vehicle when she was hit, she was carried to the hospital.’ They had told me in advance that they would bear all the treatment expenses, but after leaving here, they did not even come to see me,' said Mandal, 'I stayed hungry for the first two days, the hospital itself made arrangements for me to eat at a hotel outside.'

According to the police, a vehicle with the registration number Madhesh Province 06-001 Jha 0005 hit me. Mandal does not have the money to pay for the treatment expenses. 'The hospital had said that he would be discharged on Wednesday itself, but the municipal chairman did not come to pay the money,' she said, 'My husband also does not have the money, he is forced to stay in the hospital.'

Hospital information officer Dipendra Kumar Yadav said that the municipal chairman has not come to pay the expenses even after receiving treatment.
