A sub-engineer has been shot dead in Sarlahi. Sub-engineer Pramod Yadav, working at the Infrastructure Development Office in Malangwa, the district headquarters, was shot dead on Sunday evening.
According to the police, Yadav, who hails from Siraha and currently lives in Malangwa, was called outside his house and shot by unknown persons. He was injured in the chest and taken to the Malangwa Regional Hospital.
The hospital declared him dead during treatment.
It is said that security agencies have intensified the investigation after the incident. The police have said that a search is underway for the person involved in the shooting.
