Balendra in Madhesh: He walks around, his supporters watch him.

Senior leader of the National Swatantra Party (NSWP), Balendra Shah, arrived in Mirchaiya at exactly 2:29 pm on Tuesday. Shah, who had come from Bariyarpatti to Zero Mile via the Postal Road via various places in Saptari, reached Mirchaiya from the East-West Highway.

He is scheduled to reach various places in Dhanusha and Mahottari from the district headquarters via Kamala River today. Shah, who has been reaching various places in the country and ringing the bells for the upcoming House of Representatives elections, did the same in Mirchaiya.

He left from here greeting supporters who had been waiting for two hours on the East-West Highway at Mirchaiya Police Station Chowk from his vehicle and ringing the bells. After walking for a while, the supporters returned disappointed. 'We wanted to hear him, I came here with the aim of hearing his views on the issue of this region,' said Ramendra Yadav of Mirchaiya, who was found in the crowd, 'But, he did not even stop to speak.'

Social leaders here have commented that Balendra's style is not good. "Hundreds of supporters were waiting, but Balen's car did not stop," said Jitesh Karna of Siraha, "There is confusion about whether he is a leader or a celebrity."
