Another accident has occurred at Sahaja River in Aurahi Rural Municipality-5 along the Hulaki Highway. The accident occurred when a car fell into Sahaja River at midnight last night.
According to the police, the driver and three passengers, including the driver, were injured in the accident involving a car with the registration number BAB 7821, which was heading towards Janakpur from Rajbiraj.
The driver, 22-year-old Abhishek Kumar Rai, a resident of Mujelia, Janakpurdham Sub-metropolitan City-14, Dhanusha, and the passengers behind him, 39-year-old Dipika Kumari Upadhyay and 20-year-old Priti Pattel, were injured, said District Police Office, Siraha spokesperson and DSP Ramesh Bahadur Pal.
After receiving primary treatment at the Provincial Hospital in Siraha, they were sent to the Provincial Hospital in Janakpur for further treatment. The damaged car is at the accident site.

After the car accident, locals are now protesting by blocking the Postal Highway. Local leader Santosh Yadav said that they are demanding that action be taken against the contractor and the concerned bodies, that the bridge be constructed as soon as possible, and that some immediate measures be taken to prevent accidents.
