2,300 security personnel have been mobilized in Siraha for the upcoming House of Representatives elections. Keeping in mind the security sensitivity, 2,300 security personnel including Nepal Army, Armed Police Force and Nepal Police have been mobilized across the district.

According to Assistant Chief District Officer of Siraha, Chetraj Baral, 600 Nepal Army, 600 Armed Police Force, and 1,100 Nepal Police and Election Police have been deployed in all four constituencies of the district since Wednesday.

The Nepal Army will monitor security from four locations in the four constituencies - Lahan, Sukhipur, Choharwa, and Bandipur - through permanent and temporary security bases, and other security personnel will be deployed to the polling stations, as in the previous elections, Baral said.

Although security monitoring has been increased in border areas, sensitive areas, and market areas, he said that the security agencies understand that Siraha is less risky in terms of security sensitivity.
