Police have arrested 32-year-old Anil Kumar Gupta of Birgunj Metropolitan City-19, who was absconding after being convicted by the court in a banking offence case.
Police have arrested him from a road section near the prison in Birgunj. The Parsa District Court had fined Gupta five hundred thousand rupees, ordered him to deposit three days in prison and deposit 20 thousand rupees in the banking offence case filed by Pramod Prasad Gupta, the plaintiff and defendant Anil Kumar Gupta. However, he had been living in hiding.
The arrested Gupta has been handed over to the Parsa District Court for necessary action, informed Parsa Police Spokesperson DSP Hari Bahadur Basnet.
