The Consulate General of India in Birgunj celebrated India's 77th Republic Day by organizing various programs on Monday.
Addressing the ceremony, Indian Consul General Devi Sahay Mina said that various programs should be organized continuously to further strengthen the historical, religious and cultural relations between India and Nepal that have existed for ages.
She said that India is committed to promoting its culture and language globally along with economic progress. At the program, students from various schools presented speeches and dances reflecting the importance of religious, social and cultural relations between India and Nepal.
Consul General Mina appreciated the efforts of the students while distributing awards. The Indian flag was also hoisted on the occasion.
