Illegal goods worth 3 million seized from warehouse

Police have seized illegal goods worth around Rs 3 million from a warehouse in Birgunj Metropolitan City-7.

Police raided the SB Trading warehouse on the Railway Road section in Birgunj at around 8 pm on Sunday.

Stationery and grocery items worth around Rs 3 million, which were illegally stored by evading customs and revenue, were seized from the warehouse, which was operated by Bikash Goyal, a resident of Birgunj-5, and registered in the name of Bindu Goyal.

The seized items include pencils, erasers, cutters, cards, tape, balloons, lighters, rubber, jibia, and other retail items.

A joint team deployed from the District Police Office, Parsa and the Ward Police Office, Birta, conducted the raid. The seized items are being handed over to the Revenue Investigation Office for action, informed DSP Hari Bahadur Basnet, spokesperson of Parsa Police.
