Balendra Shah, a senior leader of Rashtriya Swatantra Party (RASWPA), arrived in Janakpur on Sunday afternoon.
Shah, who has arrived in Janakpur, will visit the Janaki Temple here and offer prayers. Balendra will stay in Janakpur overnight and leave for Lahan, Siraha on Monday morning.
Martyrdom Day is celebrated on Magh 5 in memory of those who were martyred during the Madhesh movement. The Madhesh provincial government has also granted a holiday on Martyrdom Day. Balendra will visit the Madhesh martyrs' park in Lahan and offer a wreath.
'After returning from the Lahan program, the leaders will participate in the change proclamation meeting organized in Tirhutiya Ganchi, Janakpur,' said Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangha, spokesperson Manish Jha at a press conference on Sunday evening.
