Two people have been arrested with drugs at Bashir Chowk in Paroha Municipality-7 of Rautahat. An Indian youth is among the arrested. The police made them public on Monday.
A joint team of Police Post Motipur Narkatia and Armed Police Force Nepal Border Out Post Sarmujwa at Bashir Chowk arrested Naitak Kumar alias Golu, 29, of Ghoda Sahan Kavaiya-6, East Champaran District, Motihari Gram Panchayat, and Shikhar Bahadur Pulami Magar, 30, of Nijgadh Municipality-7, Bara, on Sunday night, who were coming to Nepal from India on an Indian Apache motorcycle bearing registration number Bihar 05 BL 8846, and were travelling to Nepal from India, DSP Bishnu Pradeep Basyal said.
The police had checked both of them on suspicion while they were coming to Nepal from India. DSP Basyal said that 1,260 capsules labeled Tramol 50 were recovered from them. Police have also recovered 3 mobile phones and 36,000 rupees in cash from them.
DSP Basyal said that further investigation is underway on both of them after obtaining time-limit permission from the District Court Gaur in a drug-related case.
