Life in Birgunj is returning to normal this morning after an all-party meeting reached an agreement regarding the protests that have been taking place for the past few days.

A curfew was imposed here for two consecutive days due to protests. Although the markets here have been reopening sporadically since Tuesday evening, life has returned to normal from today. Schools, markets, industries and factories here have also fully resumed operations. 

Parsa Chief District Officer Bhola Dahal said that life in Birgunj is returning to normal. 'Life here is returning to normal after reaching an agreement in the all-party and all-party meeting,' he said.

Chief District Officer Dahal said that the curfew order was issued to maintain peace and security, keeping in mind the potential risk of disputes between the two communities on issues related to social and religious beliefs. He informed that the curfew was imposed here since Monday to prevent potential risks and to normalize the situation, and the curfew was lifted after reaching an agreement in the all-party meeting.

With the lifting of the curfew imposed by the local administration, there is a lot of movement in the markets of Birgunj, while shops on the main road of Birgunj have resumed operations. Similarly, rickshaws, carts, motorcycles and other vehicles are also plying as usual.
