Rajnarayan Mahato of Mirchaiya, who got a full scholarship for MBBS despite financial hardship, has received financial assistance. The Sudee Samaj, Mirchaiya provided financial assistance to Rajnarayan on Tuesday.
Rajnarayan was honored with a financial assistance of Rs 51,000 by organizing a program at the Sudi Samaj Dharamshala in Mirchaiya Municipality-6, Matiarwa, local leader Rajkishore Sah said.
Sah, who was admitted to Tribhuvan University Teaching Hospital, Maharajgunj, managed to get his name out of MBBS on a full scholarship in his first attempt. He passed SEE in 2079 BS and Class 12 in 2082 BS.
Rajnarayan's elder brother Raju Mahato is also studying MBBS on a full scholarship. They lost their father to cancer eight years ago and were educated by their mother Rekha Panjiyar, who ran a grocery store in the village.
