Two people have died in separate road accidents in Sarlahi. A pedestrian died after being hit by a motorcycle at the Lakhandehi Bridge in Lalbandi Municipality-1, Nawalpur, along the East-West Highway on Wednesday.

 

Ram Vilas Mahato, 70, of Musaili, Malangwa Municipality-7, was seriously injured when he was hit by a motorcycle (number Na 63 Pa 5694) heading towards Hariban from Nawalpur. He died in Birgunj for treatment, according to the Area Police Office, Lalbandi. Police have taken the motorcycle and the driver into custody.

Similarly, the driver died in a motorcycle accident last night on the inner road section near Sudama Barrage in Balra Municipality-10. The motorcycle (number M.P.03-029 Pa 3744) was found lying on the left side of the road in a field.

Police have found the motorcycle driver, 45, of Ramnagar Rural Municipality-1, dead, according to the police. Further investigation into the incident is underway, according to the Area Police Office, Gadhiya.
