Congress Joint General Secretaries from Bara 1 and 3
Janata Samajwadi Party Nepal has once again recommended the name of central president Upendra Yadav from Bara's federal constituency number 2 for the upcoming House of Representatives elections on Falgun 2.
In the 2079 House of Representatives elections, the then general secretary of the party, Ram Sahay Prasad Yadav, was elected as the Vice President from that constituency, and Upendra Yadav was elected in the by-election held in that constituency. After he was defeated from Saptari and was out of parliament, he was elected from here with the support of parties including the Congress and entered parliament.
Along with him, the names of Vice President Yadav's son Shatrudhan Yadav and Ram Kishore Yadav have also been recommended. In this constituency, the Congress has recommended the single name of former district president Radhechand Yadav. He has been elected from this constituency many times before.
Similarly, Congress joint general secretaries Farmullah Mansur and Umakant Chaudhary, whose home district is Bara, have been recommended from constituencies no. 3 and 1 respectively.
Although the regional committee recommended the name of party president Sher Bahadur Deuba from the constituency where Mansur was recommended, he has been removed from the district's recommendation. In the area where Chaudhary was recommended, the regional committee has also recommended the name of Shambhu Bahadur Budhathoki along with Chaudhary.
Since there are two factions in the Nepali Congress, the area has made a different recommendation than the one recommended by the district president.
