The District Traffic Police Office, Lahan Siraha, has started teaching students about traffic rules. The traffic police are visiting schools in the district to inform and sensitize students about traffic rules.

District Traffic Police Chief Inspector Shalikram Timilsina said that various types of road accidents occur due to non-compliance with traffic rules and that a traffic awareness program is being run in schools with the aim of reducing this.

According to Timilsina, this program was conducted at Janata Higher Secondary School in Dauripatti, Bariyarpatti Rural Municipality-3 on Tuesday. The students of the school have been informed about the rules of traffic. 

Timilsina said that the students have been informed and made aware about the rules of the road, the use of road signs, and the way of using vehicles under the traffic rules. He expressed his belief that this program will continue and will have a positive impact on accident reduction in the long term.
