Police on Friday arrested four people, including an Indian, involved in smuggling brown heroin from Birgunj.
At around 2 pm, a joint police team of the Police Post Bus Park and the Narcotics Control Bureau Birgunj searched four people walking suspiciously on the road section at Pratima Chowk in Birgunj Metropolitan City-15. They found 45 grams of brown heroin in the possession of Shambhu Raut Kamkar, 30, of Bindabasini, Birgunj Metropolitan City-19. The heroin is in plastic and weighs 45 grams.
Those arrested are Chandan Kumar Pandit, 19, of Birgunj-16, Rajkishore Mishra, 40, of Bahudarmai Municipality-1, Parsa, and Sachin Singh, 27, of Chhatauni Police Station Ward No. 6, Motihari District, Bihar State, India. They have been taken into custody and further investigation is underway, informed DSP Raju Karki, spokesperson of Parsa Police.
