Police have taken two people into custody with marijuana they were bringing on a motorcycle from Gaushala in Mahottari.

The police have seized 10 kg 650 grams of marijuana, including a package wrapped in a white plastic bag on a motorcycle and a package in a black bag on the back of the motorcycle.

On Tuesday morning, the police took into custody two people who were coming with 10 kg 650 grams of marijuana on a red and black Pulsar motorcycle with Indian number BR 30 W 1309 near Khalte Bazaar Mahadev Temple in Gaushala Municipality-8.

A police team deployed from the Area Police Office Gaushala arrested 20-year-old Harendra Baitha and 21-year-old Arjun Baitha of Sonma-3, Mahottari, with marijuana during a check, said Deputy Superintendent of Police Shelendra Kumar Bhatta.

Both the arrested people and the marijuana recovered from them are being kept at the Area Police Office Gaushala and further investigation is underway.
