Bharat Mahaseth has been elected as the president of the Ramnagar Mirchaiya Chamber of Commerce and Industry. Mahaseth won by securing 736 votes, informed Returning Officer Prashant Sah. His nearest rival Rajkumar Sah came in second by securing 544 votes.

Similarly, another candidate for the president, Harikishore Mahato, received 506 votes, said Election Officer Sah. The nearest rival, Dev Krishna Sah of the panel, won the post of senior vice-president of the association.

Sah received 657 votes, while his rival Arun Kumar Singh received 612 votes. Pramod Sah of the Harikishore panel received 503 votes.

In addition, Dinesh Sah was elected as the first vice-president, Shambhu Sah as the vice-president, Rakesh Sah as the general secretary, Birendra Sah as the treasurer, and Jitendra Sah as the secretary.

According to Election Officer Sah, Manoj Sah, Makhbul Mansuri, Jogindra Sudi, Anand Singh, Radhika Shrestha, Rambharosh Yadav, Manoj Sah and Ganga Sah Sudi were elected as members.

Mahaseth, who was elected president, was the secretary in the working committee of the association led by Harishankar Sah. Mahaseth's panel was supported by the Nepali Communist Party and the Janmat Party.

Similarly, Rajkumar Sah's panel was supported by four parties including Congress, UML, JSP Nepal and RPP. The panel led by Harikishore Mahato contested the election independently. 

The election for the 15-member working committee of the association was held last Friday. 

Out of 2109 voters of Mirchaiya, Karjanha and Kalyanpur municipalities, 1881 voters cast their votes in the election.
